Privacy PolicyWe collect information about our clients and individuals/companies that we communicate with in order to help us continually improve the service we offer and so that we can enter into commercial arrangements with you and on your behalf with third parties. Handleys will always adhere to the UK Data Protection Legislation. This Privacy Policy only relates to the services of Handleys and does not extend to your use of other websites outside of the Handleys website. We collect the personal data which you provide us with both during the registration process and during the course of our business with you. You agree to supply us with information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and we agree not to disclose to third parties your personal information without your prior verbal or written consent. We may use personal information about you to build up a profile of your requirements and preferences, and to maintain and improve the service we offer. Personal information provided may be maintained on computer or paper-based records and will not be disclosed to third parties except our auditors and any organisation requiring access to such information for regulatory purposes, or any person having a legal entitlement to access. Where business services are provided to us by third parties, circumstances may arise which warrant the disclosure of more than just your basic contact details. On these occasions, such as business arrangements and/or processing financial transactions, and obtaining compliance and regulatory advice, you agree that personal information held by us may be disclosed on a confidential basis, and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, to such third parties. You agree that this information may be transferred electronically, such as by email. As we treat all our clients’ records as confidential, we reserve the right not to give you copies of your records if to do so would be to allow access to files containing records about other clients. We keep records of all our business transactions for at least six years. All cheques, documents of title, etc, may be sent by post to your last known address and shall be sent at your own risk. Where we are required to verify your identity in accordance with the regulations, we will request that you do so within a reasonable period. Should this proof of ID not be forthcoming, we will not be liable for any delay in the marketing, sale or purchase of any property or any other services to be provided to you. In visiting the Handleys website, you accept this Privacy Policy and you agree that we may change the future content without receiving your prior consent to do so. English law will be the basis of this contract and the language in which this contract will be interpreted, and in which all communications will be conducted, will be English.
